When I was a little girl May 1st was a big deal. We would have a Maypole at school to dance around, and we would wear crowns of flowers in our hair.
But the best part, May 1st was the day that Mother let me go barefoot outside for the first time. Such good memories on this bright, sunshiny first day of May in Nashville this morning...
