Still waiting on Peanut...

 

So much for the full moon theory, this grandchild wasn’t ready to make an appearance yet.  And we simply have to quit calling her Peanut, she’ll be here anytime now, and even though her mother is a devoted Snoopy fan, I’m sure she will be ready for us to transition to her real name when she arrives.

Deanna posted this latest pregnancy picture yesterday on her Harris Sisters GirlTalk blog.  

It’s a family weekend for us, Ry and Linds are on the way to our house with those sweet little grandchildren, then they’re off to Nashville tomorrow to spend Easter with John and Deanna, while we’re going to Easter brunch with our friends, Rich and V.

And we’ll be on our way to Nashville very soon now for the arrival of Peanut.

I hope you all have a blessed Easter.  Spring has finally arrived in all it’s glory in Heavensville, I’m so looking forward to Ryan and Lindsay’s arrival, it’s going to be such a fun day here for our family...

 

Wonderful baby news!!!!!

 

Our son John, and his wife Deanna are expecting!  We are so happy for them, they will be such amazing parents, and they are just estatic about this baby.

And yes, we know what it is, but that’s for Deanna to share with you.

I’m such a proud Grammie to be!!!!!

Dem Grandbabies came for Easter….

 

We had such a wonderful Easter.  The whole family came, it was a cool Easter, but the sun came out and we were able to be outside.

 

Abby put on P-Pa’s favorite t-shirt and dyed Easter eggs.  It was a huge success, too.  She put on glitter and stickers, it was so much fun for her.

 

Abby’s all dressed up in her Easter bonnet, complete with Mary Jane shoes and ruffled socks.  Such a sweet little girl.

Ben is all smiles, he’s a happy, giggly, drooly little baby, and don’t you just love those bare feet .  He’s just precious at almost eight months.

 

The guy’s took Tootie’s hardtop off.  It goes on at Thanksgiving and comes off at Easter.  Little Miss Poser is having a great time pretending to drive.

 

 

Grammie and P-Pa got Abby a butterfly kite for Easter.  Is there anything cuter than a little girl and a dog, running through the sunshine.

 

The wind wasn’t cooperating, but Uncle John managed to get the kite in the sky and Abby loved it.  It’s a great kite, if anybody is interested in it for their grandkids, here’s the link.

Trisher came over and took a family picture for us.  We don’t do this often enough. 

And that was our Easter, I hope you all had a good one, too…

Ben is almost six months old now…

It’s hard to believe he’s this big, my sweet little grandson…

She simply amazes me…

Abby:  A hexagon has six sides Grammie

Grammie:  Duh, okay, yes, it does

Abby:  If we had a rocket ship, we could blast through the clouds, Grammie.  We could go all the way to outer space.

Grammie:  Yes, we certainly could.

Abby:  What is outer space, Grammie?

Grammie:  Uh, it’s beyond the clouds, uh, it’s, ummmmmm…

Grammie thinking, oh I need to Google this! 

Abby:  This is my Baaabie Plane, Grammie

Grammie:  (finally, something I can understand)  Yes, Abbie, Grammie had a Barbie Doll when she was a little girl.

Abby:  Saying nothing, looking confused….

However, when she gets in her car and takes off, her Grammie gene kicks in immediately.

She pushes on the gas, guns it, and she’s off.  But instead of steering it down the road, and looking straight ahead, she’s busy tuning in her radio, playing with her gears, doing everything but looking where she’s going.  So she runs off in the grass, and then Daddy has to give her a tow, with her wheels spinning as she tries to get traction.

She and Maggie are buddies now.  She's taking her “Pal” on a little ride.

Such joy, this little child just rocks Grammie’s world.

And little Ben is such an angel.  We’re still trying to figure out who he looks like.  He looks nothing like Abby as a baby, I see a lot of Ryan in him, and hopefully, Lindsay’s lips. 

And here’s their pretty little Mama, five days after Ben’s birth, sitting in the floor playing with Abby and her dollhouse.

Grammie is very, very blessed…

And yes, I do realize I’m gushing.  It’s what Grammie’s do, they gush about the grandkids…
