The movie started out great, I loved the old blue Mercury woodie, the streets of Paris were amazing, the bakeries, the fresh markets, and Meryl Streep really nailed Julia Child to a tee, and then…
It started to get boring, I kept waiting for the pace to pick up, it never did! Julie was cute, but she was so white bread that she quickly turned into a big yawn. I did enjoy the scenes from the Cordon Bleu, it was apparent that they had Meryl Streep standing on a box in order for her to look taller, it’s obvious in this picture. And there was a funny scene where she was chopping onions, and that was about it for moi.
What a disappointment, and what a waste of Meryl Streep’s talent. And I had such high hopes for this movie, too. *sigh*
