I've been seeing two mallards in our front yard for a few weeks now. The neighbors said there was a nest across the drive from us, and sure enough...Momma Duck is nesting - she threw out this egg, it must have been a dud. My neighbor, Julie, can see her through her bedroom window, and says she is sitting on 6-8 eggs.
If were really lucky and nobody disturbs her nest, we will have a new family in the neighborhood...
Oh how fun, bebe ducks... Wonder what the Maggin' Waggin' will think of that???
maggin' waggin? :) i would love bebe ducks! wow! but what about the cats?? i will have trouble sleeping peacefully until they are born and safe from cats... oh i do hope they make it! exciting!
