Ahhhh, it's that time of year, fall is upon us and I'm trying new recipes. It's currently 56 degrees in Heavensville and it's soup weather..
I got a great cookbook at the library, it's called The Gourmet Slow Cooker and it has some really great recipes in it. Today I'm cooking a bean soup from Greece; great northern beans, chicken stock, carrots, onions, celery, garlic, oregano, tomatoes, baby spinach and I tucked in a lean smoked pork chop instead of a fatty ham hock to season it. The kitchen is smelling really good.
Also making hubby his healthy pumpkin pie - actually, remember that old recipe for impossible pumpkin pie from Bisquick - that's what I'm making, using the Heart Healthy Bisquick, substituting Splenda for the sugar - here's the recipe if you want to check it out - click here - I've made this before and it's really good.
I'm still working on the webcam, maybe I'll get it right one of these days. I'm SO technically challenged...
